Singapore-based Keng Lye is an artist who paints stunningly lifelike, three-dimensional fish using epoxy resin and paint. This series — called “Alive Without Breath” — features turtles and fish created by layering epoxy resin and acrylic paint, all done in a painstaking and time-consuming process. What is particularly unique about Lye’s technique is that he is able to make his creatures appear as if they are emerging above the surface of the water.
